Psalm 139

1 O LORD, you have searched me and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD.
5 You hem me in—behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,"
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.
19 If only you would slay the wicked, O God! Away from me, you bloodthirsty men!
20 They speak of you with evil intent; your adversaries misuse your name.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD, and abhor those who rise up against you?
22 I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

The lady who is supposedly more qualified than me just called me Tracey. My name is Stacey not Tracey. I can remember her name. My name is on the sign right outside my door. Perhaps she could just read it.

Where is [info]muffinsmom
I’m worried about you, [info]muffinsmom. I think something is wrong. [info]best_bud_bert’s latest entry leads me to believe that something is going on with your parents. Although I don’t know what’s going on, know that my thoughts are with you. I hope everything is okay and I hope that you and your family can find some peace. I miss you very much, and I hope to hear from you soon. Good bless you and your family.

Mom and Dad, I'd like to thank you for buying me a microwave, Chick-fil-A for dinner last night, and all of the goodies you’ve bought me at the store this week. Your help has certainly made life more bearable these couple of weeks. You are great parents, and I want to thank you for that. You are the best. I love you both.

Maggie really hates her crib. In fact she never sleeps in it anymore. She sleeps with me on the twin mattress on her bedroom floor. I tried to convert her crib into the toddler bed feature but my husband helped me realize that she’d probably really end up hurting herself when she inevitably fell or jumped off. I’m thinking about taking the crib down, but I know if I do, I’ll never put it back up for the toddler bed feature. I’ll just end up putting up the twin bed. Would it be too trashy to just let her bed be a twin mattress on the floor? It’s not that she doesn’t have anything else. We have the crib, the toddler bed, and a twin bed, it’s just none of those are working with her age. I want to take down the crib so she’ll have more room in her bedroom, which if pretty crowded right now.

I’d like to thank [info]sarakenobi for making this wonderful icon. I think it’s wonderful. I tried to google for pro-life icons on Friday, but the best one I could find was hard to read. But [info]sarakenobi came to the rescue without even being asked.

It’s nice to know that there are people out there states away doing something nice for you, even if there are doing it out of boredom and trying to avoid working. Heck, that’s why I’m here. :-).

I just got the most believable scam email I have ever gotten. I thought I knew all of the scams, but apparently not. The email appeared to be from an ebay member. It appeared to have been sent through ebay. It stated that I had won an extremely expensive auction. Now this part I knew was a scam in one way or another. What I didn’t automatically think was a scam, was a link to report the email as a scam. So I clicked on the link and signed in. Then it wanted to update my credit card information which was the red flag I needed. At first I thought, “But I went to the ebay site on my own,” and then I remembered it was a link from the totally scam email. I immediately went directly to the ebay website and changed my password (since this is the only information I gave them) and forwarded the email to spoof@ebay.com. I hope they get this person and get them locked up. The whole thing looked very believable and I am sure there are many people who will fall for it. If you’d like to see a copy of the email I’ll forward it to you at your request.

I am somewhat worried that the email put some type of spyware on my computer in order to get further information, but I work at a government office with pretty tight security and pretty advanced software, so I doubt that has happened. If anyone has any additional security precautions for me, they are welcome.

More than 200 law enforcement officers stood at attention as the flag-draped coffin carrying Brandon Breland was carried from Vardaman Street Baptist Church to the hearse.

For the Breland family, his death is a double tragedy. Less than two weeks ago, Breland and his fiancee buried their stillborn child.

Brandy Baxter is the fiancee's name. I can’t imagine how hurt, devasted, and alone she must feel. In the articles photograph she is sitting by her fiancee’s mother, and I can’t help but think that the two of them have recently lost their most precious possessions. May God bless them and keep them.

Since my digital camera has broken I am in the market for a new one. I’d like to get one this weekend since I greatly miss having mine. I really don’t want to spend more that $150 which greatly limits my options. I’ve also noticed that in order to get more megapixels you usually have to sacrifice the optical zoom. If that worth it? I would mainly use the camera to take photos of my daughter. I also want a camera with the smallest amount of shutter delay as possible. Any camera suggestions are greatly welcome? Thanks.

I came to work for my employer in April. They are a contract company for the federal government. Shortly afterwards they put someone over me that I feel isn’t as qualified as I am. I am a Paralegal/Legal Assistant II. I have approximately four years of experience, an associates degree in paralegal technology, and my Certified Legal Assistant certificate. My supervisor only has a high school diploma and legal secretary experience, and not much of that.

A few weeks ago they gave bonuses to all the employees that didn’t get a 3% raise according to the new Department of Labor Wages. Pretty nice, huh. Except I didn’t get one and I only got a 5 cent raise. When I brought this to their attention I was told it was a mistake and that a check was sent out on Monday. I received the check on Friday, but it was unsigned. I was very disappointed. I had spent more than I should have in anticipation for the bonus, because I was told it was coming. I had to borrow $200 from my parents just to make it through.

I email them this morning to get this straightened out and they tell me to mail the check back to them, they will get it signed, and return it to me. They even joked, “I'm sorry about this inconvenience, it seems fate is conspiring to deny you this bonus.” This seems ridiculous. Why can’t they just issue another check and overnight it? It seems to me that the least they could do. If they didn’t want to give me a bonus, they shouldn’t have. But what they are doing is either completely out of some type of discrimination (possibly age) or incompetence.

What exactly is a Live Journal troll. I think I may be one. There are some people that I really like that I keep tabs on through their friends page and user info. These are people that I came to really care about but decided only to be friends with a select few. But why is it considered trolling if you are only looking at things that are there for anyone to see. And I’m not using the information for anything negative. Maybe I am a troll, but is a troll really a bad thing.

This time last year I had just gotten back from the doctors office and confirmed when I should be at the hospital in the morning to be induced. Then the next day my life changed forever. I was given the best gift I could have ever received.

Happy Birthday Maggie! I love you.

I want it on the record that Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens & Cannada, Attorneys at Law is one of the best law firms to work at in the Jackson Metro area. They have very good employee benefits such as a generous paid time off program, holidays off, your birthday off, free parking, free soft drinks, Christmas bonuses, etc.

I can’t figure out why I ever complained. I would complain about their health insurance benefits, but I’ve come to realize that health care is expensive regardless.

And I didn’t realize it at the time but it’s wonderful how they train their employees in various areas in order to equip them with the necessary tools to do their job to the best of their abilities.

I feel like a dog that has run away from the white house. Now I’m wondering the streets aimlessly with no place to call home.

EXCERPTS FROM A CAT'S DIARY:

Day 183 of my captivity:

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal.

The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture.

Tomorrow I may eat another house plant.

Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded; must try this at the top of the stairs.

In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair; must try this on their bed.

Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body in an attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was. Hmmm, not working according to plan.

There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary confinement throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the food. More importantly, I overheard that my confinement was due to my power of "allergies". Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.

I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and may be snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant. He speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the high metal room, his safety is assured. But I can wait, it is only a matter of time.......
